Terms of Service

These terms ("Terms") govern your use of the B.Legal software and website operated by B.Legal LLC ("B.Legal", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Account

You must be at least 18 and authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of any firm or entity you represent. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

2. Subscription and billing

B.Legal is offered on a monthly or annual subscription. Your card is charged on the first day of each billing period. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. A 30-day money-back guarantee applies to your first payment only.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use B.Legal in any way that violates any law or regulation.
Upload content that infringes the rights of any third party.
Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems.
Resell or sublicense B.Legal without our written permission.
Reverse engineer or circumvent any technical protection measures.

4. Your data

You own all data you store in B.Legal. We act as a data processor under your instructions. See our Privacy Policy for details. You may export your data at any time and cancel your account.

5. Intellectual property

B.Legal LLC owns all intellectual property in the B.Legal software, website, trademarks, and documentation. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for your law practice during your subscription.

6. No legal advice

B.Legal is a tool for law practice management. It is not legal advice. The court rules engine, AI assistant, settlement calculator, and compliance features are aids for licensed attorneys. You remain fully responsible for verifying all output against primary sources and applicable rules. B.Legal is not a lawyer and does not provide legal services.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, B.LEGAL'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold B.Legal harmless from any claim arising from your use of the service, your data, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

You may cancel at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you have 30 days to export your data; it is then permanently deleted 90 days after termination unless you request extended retention.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute must be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance.
